Re: understanding configuration params
I can say they are not interesting and not necessary for tuning
I spend bunch of time to test some maps changes behavior of transmission and shifts and get best for me

Spending much time every night driving and testing, my own experience in tuning 6hp in tunerpro helped me a bit, and some information from htg online manuals helps to understand basically how work gear changing. All that i do for making everyday city driving with a pleasure, not only drag racing

Re: Using gear 1
Firstly u need to make smooth shifts on warmed trans (approx 80-95)
You can play with two temperature correction tables after.
Tcu should receive proper calculated torque.
In which pedal position shifts more rougher? Is other gears are ok?
Are you using 10.71 base maps for 8hp70?

Re: PT-can unreadable for diagnostics
Omagad, you really think that 9 pin in obd matters in case of diagnosctics?))
First of all you need to tell year of car. But if you talk about 7 pin then it seems car is pre-lci.
7 pin is k-line for diagnostics trough sgm/kgm module.

Re: PT-can unreadable for diagnostics
OBD straight to DDE? What? I think you need better learn or understand can network in that car.
And write proper names of modules! Bmw don't have KBL or CAD, wrong naming makes me confused.
I think here is 100% your misstake in some wire harness

Re: PT-can unreadable for diagnostics
i'm talking about resistor in case of direct pt-can connection for diagnostic (not through obd-gate)
do you use any custom monitoring displays or dashboards in car?
