how i know, only E70/71 dash and E84 dash (and any other from E89 platfrom) can show 8 gear, because of 8hp from factory. E60/63 not able to.
not always, i have an e90 that doesn't display 8. only 7

Admin, congratulations on your project
I have an E90 335d and with turbolamik it displays 7 and 8 in every mode which is very nice.
My only problem is I cannot get rid of the transmission symbol when I start the car because CAS is looking for the old shifter:
I have the F80 M3/M4 DKG shifter in place of the old 6HP shifter and I get the following codes:
A0B1 CAS: Input, Selector-Lever position, implausible
A0B6 CAS: Selector-lever interlock
Could you kindly tell me which setting should I change in the Tuner Pro? I don't want to mess up the rest of the settings while trying to fix something minor.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
I'm doing similar project with E60 535D and 8HP70.
TCU universal wire connect to oem black/white plug (in this plug have cables in 6hp transmission )
I'm trying to connect TCU to black and white plug.
I know the layout of original black and white plugs and I'm trying to figure out what I need to connect to Turbolamik TCU.
What I figured:
Code: Select all
Balck plug: TCU:
3 - Can height 67 - Can 2 H (engine ECU)
4 - Can low 66 - Can 2 L (engine ECU)
5 - 12v from main relay (30A fuse) 51,52,53 Battery +12V - seems like all 3 needs to be connected
6 - Ground 43,44,45 Power Ground - should I connect all 3 pins?
7 - Ground same as above
8 - +12v ignition 35 - Ignition +12V
Most of uploaded images seems to be broken and I cannot see all of them,
but from what I see... you connected also something from white plug.
I found this:
viewtopic.php?t=154
Here you have how to connect to the 6HP plug from TCU. If you connect as in the photo, it must work. After removing the original 6hp selector, a few plugins will remain. There is one black 4-pin, you need to connect PIN 2 and PIN 3 in it
"6hp pnp Połaczyć P3 z P2 czarny wtyk.jpg (2.1 MiB)" is probably what I'm looking, but img is broken and I cannot see it
Could you write full description what pins black/white plug connect to what pins in the TCU?
Thank you.
Wojtek.
