Yes it does. Till 6 gear cruise controll works good above 5 it is disabling itself.
I think it is possible to 'cheat' stock ECU but I don't care for now about it.

You can send Speed from TCU to ECU but using ECU Standalone.
In the e46, the speed is sent by ABS and it is not possible.
