BMW E60 525D 2009 on stage3 turbosystems htd3073 powered ~450HP 850Nm
OEM have 6hp21, but swapped for 6hp28 for last 5 years and tuned for xhp st3 maps, final gear ratio 2.64.
Engine: M57 306D3 stock, fuel upgrade HPFP R90, piezo injectors
My everyday setup with 6hp28 100-200 stable 9sec without smoke, 0-100 is 4.3sec best, 1/4 12.3sec (dragy)
After few measurings with 8hp75 i like that 100-200 improved for 0.3sec in all else being equal.
At this moment tyres are winter 18", but ive tested 0-100 and it much better now than on 6hp
. When pick up summer wheels 19" with PS4S i think i jump from 4 sec
Transmission model: gen3 ZF 8HP75z G-series B57 2019 730d and because of that it have different length (15mm longer than 8hp70) and oil lines holes
located farther from the bell and much more in size). So it not completely bolt-on like 8hp70 in some case
Torque converter from that gearbox much stronger and heavier, and his weight 23,5kg ( TC from 8hp70 is 18,5kg)
Flyhwell: from same G series B57 3.0 Diesel (one bolt hole drilled for sleeve and one for TDC service mode fixing, balanced). No problem to use N57 flywheel in this case.
Starter: stock OEM M57N (bolt holes drilled to 10mm)
Transmission rear mount: stock OEM 6hp E60 and cutted for 16mm in length and some mount holes reworked.
Rear mount traverse need to be drilled in few places, exhaust mount reworked.
Driveshaft: OEM from E60 530d and cutted for 8mm.
Driveshaft flange replaced from 6hp.
Oil lines: I got OEM from my old 6hp21 and changed their lentgh 25mm longer
Oil lines adapters made by a turner according to the required dimensions.
Oil heat exchanger OEM stock.
