Hi, is there any information and reading we can do relating to the new shift algorithm used in 10.71? It would be useful to know what’s changed and what’s now happening for fine tuning. Thanks for the ongoing development!

I upgraded to 10.71 , downshifts are better but upshifts are bit slippy and harsh. But without adaptions yet …

agree, new version is much better in downshifts and upshifts. Now start driving from 1-st gear is more comfortable.

I changed to 10.71this morning. I used the new BMW E90 Diesel 8HP70 SW10_71 3V3A basemap and changed a few values for my pin asignments wheel / diff size and enabled CAN output for my custom screen. Have just completed 2 hour drive and definite improvements all round in terms of shift quality and also the auto shift points in the basemap. I swapped some of the auto mode setings for earlier up-shifts which suit my aplication. I did need to change 1 - 2 upshift start % and end % values, to smooth 1-2 upshift. On previous software this gear change wasnt adjusted by adaptation, i guess it still isnt. 100% worth the upgrade, thanks for the development Turbo Lamik.

Can you provide more details on the tuning of the 1-2 upshfit Star% and End%? How much % value do you change to notice a difference?

Try first changing them both the same amount , try 2%, higher or lower.

I have updated to 10.71 and did adaptation. I can also confirm that it is much smoother upshift and downshift.

1. Is anyone experiencing rough upshift from 2 to 3 gear in middle throttle?
2. When car speed already enough for 6-th gear upshift and throttle pedal is not pressed its upshifts with delayed punch

I am using the Petrol 8HP70 SW10_71 3V3A file, redone the adaptation and I have not experienced rough shifts.
Did you redo adaptions?
