Hello does any one know how to get the shifting smooth in low range It look difficult in hi range the shifting are almost perfect
But in low range 8 gear is around 60 kmh
And the shifts are hard
I like to find a setting that i can select a program at the program selector that i can use when i drive in low range
Greetings Martijn

Obviously the low range completely changes the load on the transmission and requires completely different fill times and pressure for smooth shifts. This means any adaptions the transmission has done goes out the window. Also the final gear ratio change means any adaptations done while in low range will be wrong as well.

Your best bet is configure a mode with the softest possible settings to use in low range. You could potenially wire up an input to trigger that drive mode when low range is activated.

On the same note we have setup about 100 4x4s with low range and do not have the issue of problematic harsh shifts. They are definitely more firm, but its not a problem, we also recomend only using manual mode in low range.

Yes thanx
The Tcu doesn’t know the speed and the torq is much to hi
Lucas made a input to use the factory cruise control
From the landcruiser 100 serie because the tcu had no tps the clutch was slipping when driving with cruise control its not perfect but It works
Maby the same wil solve a lot and stop the adaption
When function is active
In manuel mode its oke to drive
I like to drive very dificult traks and i think when we get the shiftings smoother we take It to the next level
In auto mode and with the compression breaking its very nice to drive so much control
When you take your foot of the trottle the car almost stops and It looks like a sort of crawl control 1 gear
Maby if the torque cal is around 60 % from normal
It change a lot
