Gooday
I have a Mustang with a V8 Ford 358CI engine. Recently I have fitted a 8HP70 to the engine. I have connected the TPS,MAP sensor, RPM in and Brake switch.
Can anyone give me advice on the TCU setup. We got it going but due to the Carburetor there is not really anyone that can advice to setting it up for the track.
Kind Regards

So to answer this you haven't provided enough info.
Is the motor turbo/supercharged? What is the idle vacuum when cold/hot in TunerPro with live data active? ( this is needed to setup the TQ tables ). What is the idle RPM when cold/hot?

Have you confirmed that RPM, MAP and TPS values are all correct in TunerPro? Does the brake switch have the correct edge selected to show on/off correctly?
Does the TPS in TunerPro with live data on show 0% or does it show some positive value all the time when at idle?

Have you setup your shift tables? Meaning the RPM at which you want your shifts. For now only worry about P1 don't try to setup all of the tables just yet.

Lockup table needs to be set also. The base maps are for low hp stock tunes. Everyone seems to turn the TQ converter lockup on at idle because they don't adjust the RPM values and then post videos of 'nosies' from the converter after launch.

Have you made any TQ table changes yet?

With a new setup typically you would:
1 Setup inputs either CAN for wired, then test to verify they are correct.
2 Setup Program Selector and Program Selector Kickdown tables. This is need to setup what ‘start gear’ is needed and what ‘end gear’ is used as your decel.
3 Setup shift tables
4 Setup lockup tables
5 Setup TQ tables for idle
6 Check idle with trans in gear. May require Clutch Slipt Strategy enabled if you run a high idle due to low vacuum.
