TCU TurboLamik

Hello, I am putting an 8hp70 behind my GM Gen V LT4 and I have some weird requirements for my car, one of those is having a mechanical shifter.

Would this be possible? If so, what pin on the TCU would I need to plug this in? Looking at the wiring diagram I believe I can use pin 24 and 28, but I don't know what the input would be

Another question since I will be using this tcu with CAN over the engine, I assume it can read the engine data, would I be able to set outputs on the tcu to go to some electronic gauges? Such as trans temp, engine boost, engine water temp. It looks like pin 54 is for engine tach out, so I am hoping I can configure the tcu to do some more custom outputs for me as well to make wiring up everything a lot easier.

What you're describing is absolutely doable. You would need to use a linear position sensor to get a voltage value for each gear selector position.
For example a typical B&M shifter for a hotrod uses a cable. You would replace the cable at the shifter with the linear position sensor. Then wire that into the TCU.

Under Sensor CAL. -> Analog Selector -> Selector CAL Analog you would set your voltages for your selector.

I guess I don't fully understand the question because I don't know what specifics you're looking for and what ecu or display will be used.
But yes CAN bus can be used, you mentioned LT4, so either your planning to run an OEM ecu or aftermarket either is not difficult to setup via CAN.
The tach is used for a standalone system where MAP, RPM, TPS, and brake switch are wired directly to the TCU. These will not be used for a CAN application (unless your ECU doesn't have that data in the CAN stream).

IF your ecu has not been added to the preconfigured ones, a custom CAN bus can be setup. Multiple options available.

I'll try to be more clear about what I'm asking because I am doing things in a very complicated way.

I have electric sweep gauges, I am not using a screen to show me data from the transmission or the engine. I plan on using the stock ecu for the engine.

Basically, I am asking if I can configure outputs on the turbolamik to send signals to mechanical gauges, and since it communicates to the engine over can, would I in theory be able to export the data of water temp for example to an electric mechanical gauge, or at minimum send a signal for transmission temperature for a guage
