Keeping it stock

I have a 55 chevy truck I am currently using the stock column gear shiter. I have a Dakota digital dash, I need to know if I can use the turbolamik with the setup I have? Dakota digital sells a Gss3000 that allows it to be put in park drive etc. through a linkage and wired interface just wanting some advice on how it can be done or if it can be done.
