Hi all.
I have done the 8HP70 conversion on my E90. Everything including the paddle shifters are working perfectly. I have the F8X M3/M4 DKG shifter in place of the old 6HP shifter.
The only issue is that the transmission symbol comes on when I turn on the ignition to start the car. That is because CAS is looking for the old shifter and I get the following codes:
A0B1 CAS: Input, Selector-Lever position, implausible
A0B6 CAS: Selector-lever interlock
Someone suggested that it could maybe be solved with some Tuner Pro setting. I did not have time to play with Tuner Pro yet.
Maybe there is another or easier way around this I don't know? Maybe reprogram the CAS to get rid of the transmission/gear symbol?
Any ideas anyone?

Find selector lever lock position input on CAS and and connect AUX8 from TCU to it
Re: Trans. symbol E90 8HP70 with F80 M3/M4 DKG shifter
That connection is already done. Otherwise the car would not start.Jar wrote: 02 Sep 2024, 07:06 Find selector lever lock position input on CAS and and connect AUX8 from TCU to it
The engine is running. The car is running. EVERYTHING including the paddle shifters are perfectly working. NO issues at all whatsoever.
The ONLY problem is the gear symbol is still there. The error codes below cause the symbol. I cannot get rid of the gear symbol. Otherwise all is good.
A0B1 CAS: Input, Selector-Lever position, implausible
A0B6 CAS: Selector-lever interlock

Please do so. I would love to see that symbol go away. It is annoying.simtec wrote: 18 Nov 2024, 06:56 yes got same issue, but i am thinking of changing coding in CAS. will update you

I thought I was having issues because I was using the F8X/F10 M5 DKG shifter (same 10-pin) but it looks like yours is the regular F-series shifter and you are having the same issue. Let's see what you come up with. Good luck!
