Error 007 but not open circuit

Post by Pokrzyw »

I have a problem with error 007.
I've checked the resistance on the TCU plug pins of each solenoid (1-7=5Ω; 8=9.2Ω; 9=22Ω).
I've swapped pins 86 and 87 (solenoid 1 with solenoid 7) and still got error 007.
Any ideas? I am using the definition and software 10.73 TCU worked on older versions with a different gearbox in a friend's car. Do I need a downgrade?

try to bend the pins in the ECU plug. older TCU series from 2 years ago had faulty pins in the set that can bend and lose connection.

If this not help gry contact with Turbo Lamik technical support. Maybe damaged TCU

I bent it slightly but it didn't help. After disconnecting it was straight again, so the connection was probably good.

Today I checked that after turning on the TCU the resistance on solenoid 7 increases to 370Ω, while on 4 it drops to 0. My guess that TCU pin is connected to something.
Is there a software version 10.72 available for download somewhere? There is only the current one in the downloads section.

Thanks for your help.
The error simply disappeared when trying to start the engine. I hope it won't come back :)

Try to reset the errors.
In Tuner Pro: 'View' -> 'Toolbars' -> 'Data Acquisition Send Command'
Set the drop down menu to 'Reset Errors' (If not already shown) and click Send. This will clear any codes active and remove history codes.

Also just incase when looking at the dashboards, there are 2 error codes displays. One is history and one is active. The history codes mean nothing, just letting you know it happened. The active on is the only one of concern.

Unfortunately, error 007 has returned.
I have reset the error codes as instructed above, but unfortunately error 007 remains unchanged.
