So looking at analog 7 voltage now it shows 3.5v and 5v depending on pedal pressed or depressed. Main dash foot brake value never changes from 1
Key off it ranges from foot off 0v foot on 5v

Re: Code 31 and brake switch wiring
Odd that it only goes to 3.5volts, I beleive the logic level is 2.7v or less to be off. I don't think your dropping enough voltage during off.
Also just to confirm your pressing the 'UP' arrow on TunerPro each time you make a change correct? Also when making changes press the 'DOWN' arrow first to the file from the TCU before editing it. By downloading it you'll also get the adaptions that the TCU has set.

Re: Code 31 and brake switch wiring
im making sure i do that from now on. im confused on why the voltages are different depending on key being on or off. also why the shifter lights up sometimes for a few seconds and other times it doesnt light up at all.
is it supposed to be reading 5v signal or 12v?

Re: Code 31 and brake switch wiring
Brake pedal switch should be 12v. Look thru my other messages I also note what pins are needed for gnd and battery pos.
If your using semi slipt file you should be running the firmware he has available as well. I would upgrade to the version he has in the download section.

Re: Code 31 and brake switch wiring
after switch to the 10.74 firmware all is well. voltages didnt change but the input value changes and the shifter now lights up on key on and i can shift gears. in Manual shifting however im only able to shift down to 1 and back up to 2 no futher, not sure if its an rpm thing as im not actually pedal driving the car.
only issue left is figuring out why the lcd still doesnt turn off.

Re: Code 31 and brake switch wiring
Let it sit and see if it does turn off. If your using an OEM ecu it's possible the factory ECU is still on causing the sleep time on CAN2 to remain active for a bit.
Re: Code 31 and brake switch wiring
Using emu black. Perhaps there's a CAN setting on the ecumaster software. It doesn't time out at all unless I undo the green #52 wire. If I then turn the key back on with the green 52 unhooked, the lcd powers on like normal and then with the key off it times out after 30 seconds as it should.
Re: Code 31 and brake switch wiring
Not sure I follow the wire harness color you mentioned. You said you had a pre made harness but I've never seen a green used for a positive battery wire. I have 4 harnesses here and all of them use green for the reverse light.
The Black wires go to ground ( 1 small and 1 large)
The large Red wire is battery positive
The smaller Red wire is the ign switch wakeup wire.
Orange is Foot Brake

Re: Code 31 and brake switch wiring
So on my pre-made harness 51 is red 52 is green and 53 is red. I also thought this made no sense. 51 and 53 are tied together into 1 large constant 12v wire.
Green is repeatedly used in the harness for things like the LCD, program switch and shifter for power. I'll take a picture tomorrow

52 green is connected to selector 12v
