We only support 8hp bmw and e60 lci selectors because we had the opportunity to meet them in the original car. We can add support for any selector that works on the CAN bus, but someone would have to provide us with a car with such a selector to be able to develop communication with such a selector.

I really like the style of this shifter. Would this work?

It will work. The easiest way to shift gears is by shorting pins 36 and 37 (paddle up and paddle down) to ground. any selector that touches ground will work.

The price for that is absurd. You can do something like this yourself.
