Issue with error codes

Post by turbohead »

Hello,

I am currently installing TCU and wiring together with Turbolamik PCB board on an 8hp gearbox from Audi RS6.

I soldered the board and when testing it on the bench i get error codes: 020, 021, 033, 001, 004, 006, 007, 132.

Also one of the solenoids is getting warm/hot, see the picture attached.

Is it possible that i have the wrong pcb board? I noticed in Turbolamik wiring instructions said that for Audi different wiring is required.

Today i turned on my 8hp55 gearbox with 8hp55 PCB and i dont have error code. U need 8hp55 PCB, its impossible to work with BMW 8hp70 PCB.

if the gearbox has a mechanical selector with a cable, the board is different with additional resistors. if the gearbox has an electronic selector, the board is the same as for the 8hp70, but in both cases you need to add wires in the internal gearbox harness. Write to Viber Turbolamik technical support for more details.

Also have this question and Im not sure of my version of gearbox and whether it has the mechanical selector or not. I obtained this trans as an old stock unit and it came in a packing case without any other items. Note these transmissions are available through Ali from China.

Is there a way to identify the cable selector? If I need it do you have details of the 8HP55 version pcb?

I did measure the resistance of the solenoids through the connector and found I have the missing internal wires. I ordered a wiring loom (8HP55A.ELE01 through MakTrans) and plan to use the internal contacts and wiring to add the additional connections.
