I have an 8HP90 from a hellcat in my truck. Going full throttle in high gear takes forever to downshift to 3rd or 4th gear. The problem seems to be that the transmission goes gear by gear instead of directly going to the needed gear.
For example, if in 8th gear and full throttle, it will go 8->7->6->5->4 instead of 8->4.
Is there anyway to make it get to the needed gear immediately without downshifting manually? I have my shift points setup very aggressive but that didn't help.
There is a parameter called "Gearbox RPM Output ACCEL Earlier reductions" that sounds like it could help but no idea what it does.

The 8hp doesn't need to shift gear by gear. Maybe you don't have the right settings or kickdown enabled.BlueReaperX wrote: 19 Feb 2024, 08:38 I have an 8HP90 from a hellcat in my truck. Re: Slow Kickdown
It does with the Turbolamik. Kickdown doesn't help either. From what I understand, it is still being worked on by the Lamik team and should be available this year. It's not available at the moment to avoid the transmission locking up like what people have experienced with the other TCUs out there.ruiipinheiroo wrote: 25 Mar 2024, 19:35 The 8hp doesn't need to shift gear by gear. However, using S2 mode is significantly better but shifting at low speed becomes rough. I wish there was an option that changes shift speed modes based on TPS. Kickdown should be the solution for this but it just doesn't seem to work properly no matter what I do. I'll wait for the update and figure it out then. For now, S2 mode or manually downshifting does the job.
