Hello, I have converted the Nissan 350z to an 8HP70 transmission. The transmission is from a BMW F10 3.0 diesel.
The problem is that the diesel torque converter does not allow more than 2000 RPMs at launch. This is far too low for my gasoline engine, and it chokes quite a bit after launching at that low rpms.
Which car/transmission would have an adequate torque converter? I need it to allow around 3000 to 4000 RPMs for launching.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Torque converter for 8HP70
Try mount smaller converter from other 8hp gearbox.
Re: Torque converter for 8HP70
OK, I'm aware of that, can you please be more specific, from what exact gearbox torque converter should I use to be able to have around 3500 rpm at launch? Unfortunately it's quite time consuming mount/dismount gearbox from my car so I would really like to do it properly at first attempt.
TY!

Anyone?
I've heard rumors that Jaguar V6 petrol torque converter should be able to let me having higher rpm's on launch.
