Reset TCU after replacing 8HP with bad clutch

Post by Mata »

Hi, I’m about to swap my 8HP70z because I have a bad ‘A’ clutch - adaptation value of 60, it used to have HTG GCU which selected reverse at 50mph.

Currently I have 10.6 and a setup file supplied with the TCU 12-18 month ago. Engine is M57N2 DDE6 from 2007 330D with modifications.

What do I reset on TCU so it learns this new gearbox and how do I do this?

Is it also a good idea to swap to 10.66 at this time?

Thanks

after replacing the gearbox, you don't need to reset anything. Just make a new adaptation.

I recommend that you update to 10.66 and upload a new .bin file to your car.
