8hp45 selects drive but lcd jumps back to N

Hello. I have a 8hp45, I have triple checked the wiring and tried 2 different valve bodies, but when I select drive the lcd shows d2 but then jumps back to N and then I can do what I want with the lever it just shows N until I switch off and re start. Then the gearbox releases drive and goes back to p. If I select reverse it goes into reverse and then if I leave it there for 2 seconds it shows neutral on the lcd and nothing I do on the lever makes a difference until I switch off and back on. If I select reverse the box goes into reverse and then before the 2 seconds is up pull do drive, the gearbox selects drive and shows d2 on the lcd but then changes to n on the lcd again leaving the gearbox in drive( I can still feel it pulling against the brake) but lcd shows n and you can move the lever to p n d r and the lcd just shows n. There are no error codes. Any ideas? Thanks

You don't mention what ecu or shifter your using but most helpful here would be a log of this.

Sorry, ecu is a linkg4x but not using the can, couldn’t get that to work, but found the thread on this forum. So will be trying to get that working. So up to know I have connected tps, map,speed etc direct, shifter is a fxx that works with can protocol 32. Didn’t try log. Will do one today and attach. Thank you.

Found the problem was rpm input from the ecu showing 0, so when the input shaft speed reached 0 when putting it in gear it kicked into neutral. Sorted the rpm signal and it’s working. Thank you
