This is not my work it is from Cantcu. But it will likely fix your problems.

Re: Randomly going into Neutral when stationary

I would start by finding out of the TCU is getting a command or request to downshift in that condition. I have seen faulty paddles do something very similar. But it would upshift randomly.

Re: E90 335D Paddle Shifters not working / 6Hp to 8Hp

You should be able to diagnose the paddle shift error yourself. Especially if you made the harness. A simple multimeter will let you confirm you are getting the correct signals in to the Lamik. A ground signal for both down and upshift via seperate inputs.

The error on the dash is probably due to ...

Re: E91 LCI N57 to 8HP

I havent done it, but i believe its a fairly easy install. The output flange on the 8hp may be different to yours, but i believe overall length should be the same. You will likely need the rear bracket from a 6hp. There are quite a few e9x n57 to 8hp cars out there.

Re: Low range shifting smoother

Re: Hlep with older gen Can bus

Wiring the TPS sensor directly is no problem. However ensure everything is setup correctly.

The most important thing at this stage is making sure the tq value in the tcu is correct.

I have only set them up using a 5v crank sensor signal, so that 12v may have overloaded the Turbo Lamik.

Re: No brake can bus signal

While it may be ok. There is potencial for that bulb check to have a detrimental effect or potencially effect a shift in the transmission.

I know the e53 chassis doesnt do the bulb check on the centre stop light. Are you able to check if its the same on the e38? Hopefully that doesnt get the bulb ...
